From Mount Sapu, I stepped into the border county of Changdu, a place I had never heard of before. Upon arriving here for the first time, I didn't know where to go for sightseeing. As I wandered aimlessly in the county town, I came across a promotional map of tourist attractions around Bianba County. As I approached it, I immediately saw this beautiful Three Color Lake.

At that time, during the epidemic, when I was undergoing nucleic acid testing in Bianba County, the doctor ordered me to self isolate for several days. This problem was not difficult, so I immediately drove to Sanse Lake and closed myself in the mountains.

There are several Tibetan villages near Sanse Lake, but at the end of the road is an uninhabited valley, because there is a glacier that I have never heard of before - the Xiangla Glacier. I am camping near the Xiangla Glacier, which offers views of both the glacier and the Three Color Lake.

According to online sources, the Three Color Lake is divided into Black Lake, White Lake, and Yellow Lake. It is arranged in an irregular "pin" shape, with low mountain platforms separating the lakes, all of which are formed by years of ice and snow accumulation in low-lying valleys.

San Se Lake not only boasts unique natural landscapes and mythological legends, but also ancient cultural relics. The Bianba Temple, which has a history of over 700 years, and the Dazong Site, which has a history of over 400 years, are located here. The folk Guozhuang around Sanse Lake has been listed as an autonomous region level intangible cultural heritage.

The Dazong Site is located on a mountaintop between the Black Lake and the Yellow Lake of the Three Color Lake. The terrain is steep, with a grand scale and majestic momentum. With a history of over 200 years, "Da" is in Tibetan and translated as "Hu" in Chinese, meaning "Zong" built on the back of a tiger. This is the origin of the name "Da Zong".

According to legend, Emperor Dazong has undergone three evolutions in history. The order is Dazong Sangzhu Pozhang, Dazong Banba, and Dazong Zong. During the reign of King Chisong Dezan of Tibet, 180 scripture halls were built, and Nepalese stonemasons were invited to build the Dazong Sangzhu Pozhang. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the imperial court established a dish bar here to manage the people and called it Dazong dish bar. In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, the local regime in Xizang set up a patriarchal regime here, called Dazong, also called Dazhongerzong and Dalongzong. The later patriarchal regime was moved to the Bianba Temple due to the harassment of bandits, and the original patriarchal site was abolished.

Looking up at the Dazong site from the foot of the mountain, its scale is grand and majestic. Although there are mountains and steep ridges around it, Dazong's position is just right. This place is towering, has a broad view, and is easy to defend but difficult to attack, making it a natural defensive fortress.

You can overlook the beautiful Three Color Lake from the Dengdazong Site. The first thing that catches the eye is the dark blue black lake, all because it is the largest, most colorful, and most beautiful among the three lakes.

"Black Lake" is in a "Z" shape, winding along the mountain. The lake scenic area is shrouded in mountain shadows, with black rock mountains directly submerged in the bottom of the lake and a deep and dark water, hence the name "Black Lake"; The water from the lower end of the lake passes through a mountain crevice and flows into the White Lake. After the water from the Black Lake seeps into the White Lake, it is named "White Lake" due to the accumulation of sand and siltation at the bottom of the lake, resulting in white sand and stones on the beach. White Lake is located downstream of Black Lake, with an area of approximately 43000 square meters. The terrain is flat, the lake surface is calm, and relatively open. The water from White Lake flows into the river channel and lives in the upper tributary of the Nu River; The Yellow Lake is a stagnant lake, formed alone, with the smallest area. The lake water is turbid and rich in yellow minerals, hence the name "Yellow Lake"; The yellow lake and the black and white lakes have vastly different colors, with the three colored scenery complementing each other.

The Three Color Lake is surrounded by lush trees and abundant biological resources, with dense aquatic plants, especially the abundance of fine scale fish and precious national animals such as wild ducks. The shimmering waves are breathtaking and pleasing to the eye. The Three Color Lake combines the beauty of lakes, perilous mountains, riverbanks, snow, flowers and trees, and a picturesque atmosphere. The scenic area features towering peaks, lush vegetation, and the fragrance of birds and flowers. Especially when entering the lake area, it forms an organic and harmonious whole with the natural biosphere of the plateau. The wonders of the lake are breathtaking.

The beautiful scenery of the Three Color Lake is like a colorful painting, spreading across the vast expanse of heaven and earth. Its unique charm is unforgettable and unforgettable. I hope more people can witness the charm of this land and experience the visual feast and spiritual shock of the Three Color Lake firsthand.
